No and No (you can modify the filter to work though, I did)
Dawg, How did to make that happen? I have an 0800 filter and I can see that the holes will need to be re positioned, but the mounting posts seem to be a tad too long and wont let the filter sit on the backing plate properly.

I used one of the existing holes and drilled two new ones. Then I plugged the two old hole with little rubber plugs from Wurth. I also had to cut about 1/8" off the bottom of the mounting posts. You can either remove the studs before you cut and reinstall or do what I did and carefully cut with a dremel without removing the studs.

I already have a chrome one for the 07 and earlier. I pieced together everything from the SE kit seperately and bought a chrome backplate instead of the natural and a K&N filter. Alot cheaper that way. My question was to see if there was a chrome backplate for the 08 (different t/b on the 08's) and if the K&N filter would work. Which dawg already answered.
