Just finished installing a 30 tooth transmission sprocket on a 08 Rk. Called the dealer about getting the speedo calibrated and was told that they didn't have what ever it take to do it. Not sure just how much the accuracy is now off but probably should attempt to adjust it. So can anyone tell me what I need to buy, where to get it and how to use it. Oh how how much $$$? Thanks
the two best units we have found are the S&S, and the Dakota Digital. Be sure to get the plug in ones not the one you have to cut and splice the wires,. Bothe are easy to adjust.

I have a Dakota Digital unit on my '04 Goldwing, and it's worked perfectly. I'd like to put one on my '08 Ultra, but so far have not found the connector for the sensor where it would connect. Anyone know?
Contact Dakota Digital, I am sure they can Help. Of Course they may have not released one for the '08's yet, but that's the best way to find out.
Been there, done that. The question I asked Dakota Digital was, "If I buy your HD speedo calibration unit, where does it connect with the bike's wiring?"
Response I got from Dakota Digital "tech support" was, "The SIM-1 is a Speed Calibration Device. The SIM-1 will work on the 08 Harleys you will however, have to mount the SIM-1 before the computer."
That's meaningless to me. The point of my question was, where does this thing connect to the bike.
Telling me "it has to mount before the computer" did not answer the question I asked them, given that I have no way to know what's before the computer, and what's after it.
That's why I asked the same question here.
Wouldn't it be nice if some of these companies had a clue about the kinds of issues that would arise about their products?

Before the computer is between the speed sensor on the trans and the ECM. There's a plug in that line that you disconnect and it goes inline there. Just follow the wire from the speed sensor that is located just about under the starter on the 07's or a little more outboard on the previous models. They have the plugs attached when you buy the unit and it just plugs in.
