I keep all of mine, so that I can put the bike back to stock and sell the aftermarket parts when trading/selling.

I'm keeping mine - who knows, I might be able to build another bike with all the parts. I'd end up with a custom stock bike and I'd have to start replacing the parts - a vicious cycle that never ends.

I have in the past gave them to who ever bought the bike when I bought a new one. The last bike I traded in, never done that b4, dealer gave me low end of book price, with the market its hard to sell a used bike anymore. I had lots of extras, If I ever do it again I'm placing it back to origional and Ebaying the hop up and chrome goodies. Seems likea lot of hop up parts and chrome are purchased off ebay for almost list prices! Whole bikes are not bringing their worth on ebay.

Marc & Timberland have it right. When I checked into trading in my last bike, the stealer told me (in not so many words, after I decided not to trade) that the extra "bling" is taken off and the employees wind up with them, you get no credit at trade in. I'm keeping what I take off & if I trade or sell, it's going back on or being sold on EBAY.

I used ebay or post here. Some take off parts sell others don't. If you are the type to trade in your bike to the dealer every couple of years. It is better to save your stock parts and swap back your bling parts before you trade in your bike. If you sell your bike private, or ride a bike for years... sell the stock stuff to recoup you money into your bling parts.

if you have no plans of ever selling, ebay. I keep mine, cause I'm a pack rat. Sometimes, especially with electrical stuff, it helps to have the original to be a guide. Plus, I don't care about practicing my customizing skills on stock parts that I've replaced.

I advertise and sell them on various forums. I haven't had to use ebay yet everything sells pretty quick on the forums.

I wish I would have kept all of mine. I kept some, but not enough. You rarely get any additional money out of a bike these days because of your add-on's. Especially on a trade. I'm looking at getting a new Ultra next year, and I'll buy it, bring it home, and then take about 2 weeks swapping stuff from my '05 to the new one, and then sell my '05.
