Not to be TOO hard on eGlideGoodies.com; they are just a reseller, handling equipment from a BUNCH of different manufacturers; some 1st rate (like Kisan for modulators), and I guess some not-so-great.
One nice thing about eGlideGoodies is that you can find a WIDE array of add-ons there, and then USUALLY go straigt to the web site of the manufacturer to order the product. Takes eGlideGoodies out of the loop, and you're dealing with the manufacturer 1st hand from the git-go.
Rivco makes some kick-a__ air horns, sounds like their shot at center stands missed the mark.
I agree that Eglide goodies is just a reseller and is a good place to look at the new stuff. My only reason to mention them is that they were really quick to blow me off. I have bought stuff off their site before and didn't have a complaint.
And as far as Rivco goes, I'm not prepared to trash their center stand. It could very well be the geometry on my particular Ultra. My only complaint is in getting brushed off initially and then nickel and dimed the second time. I would have approached this issue a little differently had I been on their side of the fence. I wasn't looking for all my money back, just a stand that worked or a pro-rated amount to put towards a stand that did work. Swapping for in-stock merchandise wasn't going to solve the problem.
Sorry for the rant but I feel pretty strongly about customer service.
Best, differences of opion, but this is the one I bought 10 minute install, Wheeldock EZ-UP center stand very heavy material first class comes in black powder coat or chrome end (the only part that shows) and yep my 130lb wife can set the Ultra on it by herself.
I bought the vwowv stand because 1. It is chrome and 2. it is adjustable. I like it. I had a wheeldock and got tired of putting a board under it to raise the tire. Also you can use a jack with either the ez-up or vwowv. The vwowv is about $100 less than Wheeldock =more bling!
I looked at all the centre stands available and decided on a Wheeldock EZ-UP. Just got it the other day and it looks pretty good. Company seems reasonable to deal with as well. Now I gotta wait for the new scoot to arrive so I can install it.
