Had a good ride on Sunday in North Texas. Just drove on winding country roads for a couple of hours then realized I was f__kin LOST! Had a general idea where I was but had no idea how to get back home so I had to stop and buy a map, thats a first. A great ride.
Great riding day, no humidity, lots of bikers, one or two cars on the road, everyone was friendly and got along. Then I woke up and had to shovel 2" off the driveway. Damn, I'm going back to bed.
Got up and rode to vote at lunch then just tooled around the city (Memphis) for an hour or so. Temps were in the high 70's but cloudy. Major storm was brewing so I got back to the house before all hell broke loose. Headed to work (swing shift) in the pick-upas things were getting really nasty. Tornado hit around 5:40. Not much damage at the airport whereI work but some other folks in town weren't so lucky.
Sunday morning, 65 degrees in the morning, sunny not a cloud in the sky. Rode with another 12 friends about 220 miles round trip to the seafood festival in southwest florida..It was great ate lots of crabs & fish. There was over two thousand motorcycles there...Great time....
Damn...I miss Boca, Ft. Lauderdale, South Florida.. Freeport Bahamas....
OK Back to Reality... Last weekend was beautiful in Austin TX. Clear and 75 degrees. I had the good fortune to open my garage and listen to my new Rush 1.75s before the ol'lady reminded me that I had a basketball and baseball game to coach.
Oh well... My baby sure sounds good!
Hang tight- ol man winter is about done.
