I cant beleive it. I ordered a SERT 3 weeks ago for my 08 S/G. Than I heard about the super tuner 2 days after I placed that order with Chicago H-D. Chicago H-D sent me an email that said the SERT I wanted was on back order from H-D. So I called Chicago H-D and asked why. He said the SERT's are not being kept in stockbecause of the new super tuner coming out. I asked himif I would be getting the new one. He said maybe, depends on H_D factory, and if they send the new one I would be charged the difference.

Well, it finally came in the mail today. Turns out I got the latest version of the old SERT (pre-super tuner). That was cool with me, except it didnt come with software. I called Chicago H-D back and talked to internet sales. He said you can no longer by the software seperate for the SERT. WTF????? Than HOW IN THE F$$K am I supposed to use the *****g thing. I told the guy without the software being avaible anymore it renders this $400.00 piece of plastic useless. He said I would have to find a buddy who would be willing to make me a disk copy. This really pissed me off, they should not be selling it than. Thats like selling the street glide and finding out you cant get wheels for it anymore, WTF??? I talked to the internet sales guy and said I am sending this back to you. I want the new super tuner WITH SOFTWARE like I thought I was getting. He said to download their return form from their site and fill out.

I downloaded it and says I will by paying a %20 restocking fee. WHAT??? I sent it back today and I will wait and see what happens. If they charge a single extra penny I wont ever buy there again. Granted, this could be considered my mistake, but how the hell would I have known they were in the middle of a change over and discontuning the software? The worst part is the dude that I spoke with was very short, interupted me several times, and had very little patience on the phone. Made me feel like a was privelidged to be able to buy from them in the first place. The worst part is he said the new super tuners are out and avaible. I wanted to scream at this guy, THAN WHY DID YOU SEND AN OBSOLETE ONE I CANT GET SOFTWARE TOO ANYMORE YOU IDIOT?

 

Ya paid for it with a credit card, right? Place it into dispute IMMEDIATELY, stating that you returned it because it is unusable as shipped. They'll play he** gettin' the restock fee that way.

 

Take it get it Dyno'd. They will(should) have some hardware/software you can use without the SERT anyway. And, if you do SERT it like I did my 08 and had to get it dyno'd to get it right, you shoud get it dyno'd.
