I'm having trouble understanding why anyone would ever want something like this. A tach is usefull for reference but I shift entirely by sound and feel. I always have, ever since I learned to drive on a 1954 chevy with a 3 on the tree. You should be watching the road for idiots instead of watching a little idiot gauge.
No doubt, have been thinking the same thing the whole time I'm reading this.

At the dealer today. Saw a gauge that I've never seen up until today!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...spagenameZWDVW

I've listed a link to e-bay that has one for those who also have never seen one!

I understand what the write up says about it. Its some programable shift point indicatior.

Dose anyone run one? If so, is it something like a tach without RPMs? Thats all that I can think that it is??

Any feed back on one?

I had one on my 06 Street Bob.. Mounted next to my RSR gage on a separate console.. Loved it worked great.

I shift entirely by sound/feel. Rarely look down at speedo. Many times I get "lost" in what gear I am in. Can't tell you how many times I have gone for the next gear to find out I was already there. That is when I usually look at the speedo and realize that I am doing 60-65 on a 45 mph country road. lol

The only thing that would fix that is an indicator that actually readout what gear I was in, displayed on my windshield...not gonna start looking down to see any indicators while riding.

Have Fun!

Did anyone look at the instructions. Mid gauge is 5000 RPMs. All the way right is 8000. ROFLMAO!!!!!! What a senseless waste of natural resources.

DING DING DING! Give that man a CEE-GAR!

Ditto on everything you said (minus the 54 Chevy =).

I shift by sound and feel entirely. I rarely even look at my tach. Absolutely no need for this new-fangled gauge on my bikes.

You guys need to quit bashing others for their choices..

The 06 Street Bob did not come with a tach.. a small size shift gage works well with that minimalist application..

Give it up...[sm=laughat.gif][sm=lame.gif]
