Default Shift Gauge??

At the dealer today. Saw a gauge that I've never seen up until today!

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Harle...spagenameZWDVW

I've listed a link to e-bay that has one for those who also have never seen one!

I understand what the write up says about it. Its some programable shift point indicatior.

Dose anyone run one? If so, is it something like a tach without RPMs? Thats all that I can think that it is??

Any feed back on one?

You have a tach. I think that is more useful, but then that is me.

I use a tach only. I am not sure an indicator can sense other situations that are outside of the parameters of an indicator. Again, it is a personal preference.

New to me. I'll stick with my tach.

Well no, looks are deceiving! My bike is actually a Road King Standard... No tach!

Everything that you see on my bike resembles an UC but is still a dressed up RK.... FLHRI.

I'm having trouble understanding why anyone would ever want something like this. A tach is usefull for reference but I shift entirely by sound and feel. I always have, ever since I learned to drive on a 1954 chevy with a 3 on the tree. You should be watching the road for idiots instead of watching a little idiot gauge.
