Does not cost that much to have your pipes powder coated. So another option my be to order chrome and if they don't trip your tigger have them powder coated. I ordered chome fat cats for my Ultra and I think I am going to have the muffler portions powder coated (glossy) and have a combo chrome and black pipe. I am also blacking out my front end, the combo pipe I am hoping will add some contrast. Anyway, just a thought. Good luck with your project. BRO
I'd love to see the end result of that as well! Thanks.
I like it too, having run one on a SE Fatboy build. Nothing sounds as good, but I did have some early rpm torque dip issues that I found hard to tune out.
As personal a question as you posted, my question to you would be what are you after? Right now the forks and engine guard are black but the driving lights and hand grips are chrome. If you put a black pipe on it, the engine cases and luggage rackare chrome. If you are making a statement with black, your bike needs more black. Seems to me that your bike isat acrossroads. Chrome accent or Black accent.
I would go with a black pipe, grips, bars, lights and engine cases using the inspection covers and hornfor the chrome accent.
This was not meant to be a slam this is just one persons opinion.
