i noticed that for 08, the msrp on the pump has gone to 43.95. if you want one, see if you can find an old stock at the dealer before the price goes up.

The main thing is you have to beVERY careful (with any other pump than the H-D pump) to avoid blowing out the shocks with TOO MUCH air. The volume of air required to adjust the shocks is VERY TINY, therefore the H-D pump helps you avoid overdoing it and possibly ruining the shock. This little H-D air pump is very small and compact - handy to fit in with your tools but also exactly because it avoids overfilling the air like could easily be done with a bicycle pump or paricularly an air compressor.

I bought the HD version and I use it quite often over the past 3 years. Using it now on my new 08 Ultra.

Hey zopi thanks I have been removing my left saddlebag to get to the valve. After reading that all I had to do was open the saddlebag, I thought it can't be that simple. I tried it and boy do I feel dumb. Thanks I guess you learn something everyday.

One thing to remember when LOWERING the air pressure using the pump.
ADD air first, then start lowering the air pressure. This will stop shock oil from getting into your pump as blowing air IN pushs the oil that has migrated to the air lines back into the shock.
