Default RE: Tires

I've had dunlops on both the sporty and the ultra, and they both seem to find the ruts, and ride in them.
My front tire on the sporty was bald a in sept so I took it to dealer, they could do it then at the end of the day and I had a MSF class in the morning and wanted to be safe, so...The dealer said they had the correct tire, but when I got there they said they were out of dunlops but had a metzler for the same price, so I had it put on. I had always heard you will have a squirrelly ride if you mix tires, but it runs nicer now than it did before, may just be cause of all the extra rubber. It doesn't track the ruts like it did and just feels nicer, so I'm leaning toward a metzler rear when it comes time. I don't like the rut running feeling I get from Dunlops, even though everyone tells me they are best for the hd.
Once I get the rear on and feel what that's like I'll know if the ultra will get them next.
I've been tempted to get some metzlers off ebay, but when I ask the seller where they are manufactured, not wanting the bad Brazilian batch that was out, they all tell me, 'how would I know' like they can't read the damned tire and see. If they can't answer me straight, then I no do no business wit dem. If they don't know then they have no business selling them. Just my opinion.
I think I like Metzlers.

I just recently switched from Dunlop 402's to Dunlop E3 and couldn't be happier. Well never go back to the 402's.I'm sure the Mets 880's handle the same as the E3's. Tar snakes are a thing of the past with these tires.
