Default Fairing lowers

Thinking about using my tax refund money to get some fairing lowers for my 06 EGC. I have NO experience with these and thought I'd get some input from you folks. After all, you've helped me to spend more money on my bike than I ever thought I could, why not give you a shot at helping me spend what little is left! Are the HD model the way to go and if so, where from? Or is there an after market brand that works as good but for less $$? Vented or not? Any help? Thanks

Love mine. Got the vented color matched.

Some take 'em off during warmer months, but I love the looks and will likely leave them on year round.

They don't eliminate 100% of the air flow, but they certainly do help cut it WAY down.

There are some aftermarket lowers made by Hogg Chops (I believe is their name), but I didn't like the looks of them and opted to stick with HD.

HD vented color matched - you won't be disappointed! I have the same bike, love mine and leave them on all year round

I would say go HD vented, that way you have the option to control the wind flow.

I also like the looks, don't have vented, so must either take them off, or be baked like a chicken on the grill during the summer!!

I just bought some for my Road King and put em on last week. I went with the color matched and vented Harley ones...now I need a dragonfly detachable fairing and chrome front end, it never endsmy friend

Thanks for the advice. Looks like I'll be going with HD color matched. Do they offer any usable storage?

Oh, and I know what you mean by "it never ends".
