Bad sprain 3 weeks ago stepping out of the house. The wife road her bike up to the doctor while I was waiting to get it x-rayed. I missed a few real good riding days. It was a good ride today even this morning at 36 degrees.
I am about to go out the house right now to get with the boys -- the weather man says it's 56 his azz is lying it feels more like 46--I have on leather pants and shirt, boots, and I'l top it off with cheap gloves and HD windproof jacket
ORIGINAL: monkish
Ankle is feeling good, decided to ride...
52 miles at 6:00am 36 degrees = [sm=noooo.gif]
70 miles at 4:30pm 60 degrees = [sm=signs007.gif][sm=happybounce.gif]
no pain no gain...
Actually all was good but my hands. I have got to get some warm gloves.
Man, can I relate to that ankle injury. Tore a ligament in mine 4 weeks ago playing volleyball. Just now able to get on my riding boots! Hope you heal up faster than me. On another note, don't you notice that your hands are better protected on your street glide? I noticed a big difference between it and my road king.
They are protected more than on my wifes road king but 52 miles at 36 degrees cut right through the gloves I had. I pulled over about halfway and put my leather kevlar gloves under my ski type gloves. I think I am going to order a set of sub zero gloves from Galls. They are leather and supposed to be good down below zero.
i make it a rule never to ride at temps below 39, but if the sun is shining.................you say that those glove are from Galls? to the web to search for these sometime.
