I put one in my 2005 Softail Springer Classic. As mentioned, it greatly reduced the "ticking" noise heard when the engine was hot. It nearly drove me nuts until I put the Baisley spring in. Of course, that was on a 2005 and a 88b engine.

I really don't see much need for it with my new bike and the 96 engine... at least not thus far.
