Default LED lights and Controller time, Help Please!

It's time to purchase the LED lights and get a brake/turn signal controller. I don't want a resistor pack. I have an 08 with the alarm and the smart siren/pager 2. I would like the turn signals to be brake lights when not used for turning.

I have done some searching through the archives...

I believe I will use http://www.customdynamics.com/motorcycle_led_bulbs.htmLEDs Item: GEN185CLUSTER for the rear LEDs and Item: GEN-18-A-1157E for the front LEDs. That should let the fronts stay on and then blink for turn in amber and be RED and with the Badlands Gen 3 on for brake and then blink for turn signal.

Any thoughts on this setup? Will it work this way or will the brake controller have an adverse affect on the front turn siganls as well? What is the currentpreferred brake controller from this forum for an 08 rkc to make the turn signals behave as I would like them to behave? What did you choose when you went to LED? I currently have the HD LED rear brake light already.

I just purchased their kit for front and back for my 08 Ultra. Part # 4886, 4967,4829 and their alarm load equalizer #4857 I will install next Tuesday. I used the tail light only on my 03 Ultra thinkng I was going to upgrade to the rest late on and never got around to it. This time I bought the whole kit at once. Never had a problem with the tail light and it is still in use on my 03. This kit will do every think you mentioned plus add a whole lot of LED's in the back for others can see you. I black out the rear light covers on my last bike, didn't like it after a while, so this time I went all red in back and the two lights in front I went with gray lenes. In back I wanted all the lights on my tour pac and lights on my fender to be the same color and have greater visibility. By the way they were very helpful when I talked to them on the phone, Good luck!

I appreciate the response. I have the smoked lenses from when I bought the scoot so I will probably do the 1.85" clusters and hot glue them to the smoke lenses.

Is it difficult to plug the badlands Gen 3 into the bike turn and brake system?
