I took my 07 Street Glide off road a couple of months ago and she needs a total repaint. I was pretty set on getting my custom paint job which was staying with the cobalt blue with some hot rod 'pink' flames done on the bike. Now I have stumbled across a Harley Paint Kit for the Street Glide which is the ICE set. Iwould have about the same $$ amount with either paint choice. Im now stuck. I love the custom idea but also the paint kits from Harley are really really nice and this is one set of 200. I know with my custom paint job Im only 1 in well no others like it........so I dunno ? Whatcha think?

Most will say get your own and that IS good advice. However, if you really like the HD paint then get what you like. Disclaimer: I may be not totally objective because just yesterday I bought an 07 FLHRS with #14 of 75 paint set.

DG: If your painter can deliver what you want for equivalent money, then get the one YOU really prefer. Personally, I don't get hung up on the "my bike is unique" aspect of Harley ownership, and 1 of 200 means it's a good bet you aren't going to park next to one of the other 199 sets. There is no doubt that the paint work done by HD is very consistently excellent and durable, so that would be an important consideration for a custom painter to meet.
Also, pink flames on a cobalt blue SG ridden by a girl is just flat out HOT!!!!
