I disagree with the above. I have a Heritage and have no vibration at idle or at speed (80 +/- highway). I have rented many touring models when I fly to florida, both rk and ug. I agree they smooth out at speed and are comfortable (except for seat-ug and riding position-both). But they have never approached the quiet mirrors I have with the Heritage, not to mention the comfort. My dream bike was always the road king classic, but don't like the ride compared to the heritage classic.

If it didn't vibrate at idle, I'd be asking the mechanic at our shop, what was wrong with my bike. Like everyone said, the second you start to move, it stops

Pain killer: I kinda agree, My fatboy I'm trading has no noticable vibration thru the mirrors at any speed, and the comfort I now have with my corbin seat along with seating in the bike as compared to sitting on top of the RKC. All things said I hear my wife will get a better ride also, which she doesn't now. I just don't want her riding all the time (lol) here is a Pic of my fat boy I'm selling

You won't be disappointed. Another thing I like aboutthe rubber mount is that you can sail along at 80-90 as smooth as glass. That comes in handy on the really long hauls. Less fatigue factor.

For all who answered, thanks for your input. It helps making my decision easier. I'm going to make the deal for a pewter pearl RK classic. Im pretty psyched. Cant pick it up till late march they tell me.

Just last month I went from a '07 Fat Boy to our '08 Electra Glide and the transition was very easy. I do remember being very aware of "the shake" the first time I stopped at a light, but as the others have said, it smooths right out as soon as you take off. By the end of the first day, the shaking at idle was a non-issue for me.
