Progressive is telling me to use the same amount of fork with a 1" drop as the stock amount. Does this make sense to you?

Thanks,
Rick

I just finished the 2" Progressive drop. I used a total of 3 top out springs (2 progressive and 1 factory) then used 1" pvc spacer. The first was a real PIA but the second went easy after I learned how to do it. I pushed down on the cap and my wife spun the tube.

The odd thing is, the PS instructions said to put the Close Wound portion of the spring to the top. The HD springs that came outhad the close wound portion down. Then they tell you to refer to a chart to figure out the length of the spacer but there isn't a chart. The Web Site actually had a little bit more info in the online instructions.

I still haven't ridden, but man, that Klockwerks 21" fender sure looks close to the crash bar. About 3" or 3-1/2" of clearance. I'm still debating running it that close, just nervous I guess.

I should be alright with fender clearance as I'm only dropping 1" and I have stock fender with NCB lowering brackets.

To make compressing the springs easier, find a friend who works in a machine shop. Hold the fork in a lathe through the spindle and use a center to put the cap on while compressing the spring, works like magic.

I just had them install a 1" drop on my Road King CUSTOM (FLHRS). While doing so, had the chrome front end kit tossed on too! I have not got the bike back yet, however I did go with the 1" rather than the 2" drop.

The Road King Custom is already lowered 1" in the rear from the factory, on top of that I put on a 1" lowering bracket in the rear. So all things considered I guess the rea is lowered2".The shop recommended a 1" drop in the front so I just went with that. Should I call them and have them put the 2" on?

Any advice on 1" or 2" up front, especially from FLHRS owners? Thanks.

I'm wondering the same thing... I have the PS kit in my garage.. I also have a 21" front, with the rear already lowered an inch, mines a FLHRS too, should I drop the front 2" to get to "normal" or will 1" do it? Hmmmm?
