Nice work. I was going to suggest some diamond plate. Maybe I'll keep that on for my self. Now I just need to get some floorboards....Please post your final write up in the DIY section.

THE COVERS ON E BAY ARE SLICK.. I MAY BID ON EM
I have them and they're very well done. In fact, the seller accepted my request to skip the grooves and do a solid set for me - no sweat.

If I had anything to complain about, the backside surface sits on top ofthe existing "ridge-line" and there's no "over the edge" type of lip on the new guys so I justdid what the instructionssaid, use a markie-pen and black-out the existing drab silver ridges so that no little snippets of silver paint are visible anywhere around the edges. Looks fine too but no camera so no pics though - sorry.

Hey CREEPSHOW... why don't you re-post your instructions in the new "do-it-yourself" thread tacked at the top? This is a neat idea you had.

This idea receives the official Uncle Scrooge seal of approval. Another material that might work is aluminum roof flashing available at Lowes or Home Depot.

Great idea. I wonder if 3M tape would work instead of screws? Some may think about diamond plate instead of plain aluminum or stainless.
Lotsa possibilities.

I only used screws to hold the rubber in after cutting the rubber **** off. The aluminum is 3M'ed on.

Thanks, after reading this I used some silver paint around the inside edge of themachined lip. My template is real close but isn't exactly perfect. You could see a touch of black in a couple spots. Looks cut perfect now, great idea!
I also cut out the 3M tape on the back where the screws are so the plate sits perfectly flat against the board. I haven't attached the inserts because the garage is a little cold and want the tape to stick good. I'll wait till I get the garage a little warmer. Try to take a good pic with my other camara when I stick them on later! Thansk for the props guys!

After you connect it up.. Click on "My Computer" See if yiou have a "Removable Disk" other than C: If ya do ..then click it... You should see it if it's a Razr.. (If you connect it to a laptop..it will charge it at the same time as well..)
