Yuasa makes most of the OEM batteries, including HD, and they're a very respected name in powersports batteries. Knowing that might get you the exact same battery for less money.
The service you get from a battery depends a lot on how it's been treated. Make sure you get a fresh one that hasn't been sitting on a store shelf for a year or two, and use a battery maintainer if it sits for a month or longer over the winter.
GENERALLY HD BATTERIES ARE JUNK.. WHEN THEY GO (APPROX 2 TO 3 YEARS DEPENDING ON HOW WELL U TAKE CARE OF THEM) I GO FOR A DIEHARD FROM SEARS.. LESS EXPENSIVE AND IMO A MUCH BETTER BATTERY..(MUCH LONGER LIFE) THAT SAID MY 03 ULTRA ( DELIVERED 11-02) STILL HAS THE ORIGINAL BATT ????!!!
THINGS THAT MAKE U GO HMMMM
Agree on that 100%. The Diehard from Sears is made by Delco for Sears and you get it at a better price. I believe it's a 5 year battery.
Yuasa..good quality battery, have had good results with them. Cross reference to HD, exact fit and much cheaper. I seriously doubt that HD "makes" their own batteries. Probably Yuasa, AC Delco or Interstate makes HD batteries if we are lucky..if not probably offshore from China or Mexico.
