went with the kury should have beenone of my first mods since it's a safety feature and being a new rider i try to develop some good safety habits this just gives me a little more visibility which is great.well worth the $$$$$$$$
I agree, there's not much difference between the nunning light itself in running mode and when the brakes are applied. I rode behind a friend after him installing the run/brake moduleand I thought he was getting on his brakes all the time, especially if I looked off for a second. The older version without the running light optionwas much better, in my opinion.

It is an excellent idea, except that the HD unit does have a flaw which I and others do agree on. The brightness of the running mode light is just fine, but the increase in brightness of the brake mode from running mode is barely noticable when you do hit the brakes. I have and prefer the older version that was just a brake light conversion so that when I applied my brakes my directionals went from off to bright stop. I wanted a very noticable application.
A few months back an HDF member posted a modification to the newer HD unit module that reverted it back to the style I have and just described above. I can'r recall the members name, but I do know that member "robandlyn" contributed to that thread by providing a color schematic for the mod.
I can't answer that one, Sam. It will take somebody with more expertise than me. I wouldn't know which wires not to use. It might make more sense to check with Kury or Biketronics to see what theyoffer. Plug & play is the only way for me. I'm severely electronically challenged.[&:]

Yep, Do it. I have the Kuryakyn with brake light pulse feature (flashes 3 times when brake applied). It's plug & play. Very easy to install. About $70.00-75.00. Don't forget to change over to red turn signal lenses if you set up the turn signals to act as full timerunning lights (which this kit does). The kit also comes with a load equalized if you want to go LED, but I stayed with my regular incandescent set up. Retains my 4-way flasher capability, too. You can also go big chingand change out tail andlight bar completely to full customLED run/brake/turn, but I didn't want to go the $$$. It's spendy.
Can the Kuryakyn be set up so the signals are not running lights but come on and flash when the brakes are applied? I don't like the idea of the signals being running lights. You get more attention, when hitting brakes, if extra lights light up than if the lights just get brighter.

Do it it's worth every penny...You cant light up the rear enough to suit me...Jer
Holy Crap that's alot of lights! Not ******* you but that thing must look like a Christmas tree at night, wow!
HD has been running this one big red lens for years. I don't ride in a huge city with tons of maniacs and I don't really care for the conversion. A good bright bulb or even those Kury LED tailights look nice and bright. Do what you wish and it makes alot of differnce where you live. Middle of California, yeah. Back roads of Iowa, I really don't see the need?
