on the speakers, i found that you need to spend good money to get good sound. I have alpine S-Series 5.25" in the front and Alpine S-Series 6x9's in the bags (holes cut into the bags to allow sound to pass though. I also installed a 4 channel Rockford Fosgate amp - 200 watts continuous, 50 per channel. Sounds INCREDIBLE! All in all, cost me about $1000.

I have the same speaker seat up and ran the cross over wires right off the speaker tabs and I have no distortion at all at max volume. I've had it at half volume and walked about 50 yards over to my dads garage and it sounds like your standing next to the bike...I love my GTO's and JBL's.
