I am ready to pull the trigger and I havebeen approved too.
But I am wondering where you all get your loan from?
Harley's loan is 11% I can not imagine if I did not have excellent credit how high it would be.
The 11% is enough for me to say no, I have never paid even close to that high. UGH!!!!!! Fire away with ideas less then 24 hours for me to possibly get my 105th Road King. I purposely did not sign Sat. that was hard because of the % rates, my wife almost fell out when i got up.
Thanks

11% won't be hard to beat ANYWHERE! I used my local credit union and complained about 7%.

I use my Credit Union as well. I picked up an 05 Classic in October with a 5.99 rate.

If you have the money in savings, use a "share secured" loan (you essentially take a loan against your own savings, lock away the amount you need making it unavailable for withdrawal, but it remains in your account and earns the same interest) and most credit unons only charge 3% for the loan (when you figure your savings usually earns 1.25%, you are essentially getting the loan for 1.75%!!)

One of banking's little known secrets...look into it!

Sounds to me like your dealer is playing games.....there's something a LOT of folks don't realize. Dealers (especially automotive) will often "shop" your note, offering it to several banks for the best possible interest rate. But guess what - YOU don't get that low rate - THEY do. Essentially, they sell the note to the XYZ bank at say 4% x 48 months, but contract you at 6% x 48 months. THEY keep the profits of the extra 2% APR....

As others said, go to yer Credit Union. Because of mah personal an' business accounts with 'em, ah got 3.9 APR on mah scooter last year.

Credit Union and then the bank. The rates are very low now.

if you have a CD (certificate of deposit) for at least the amount of money you want to borrow your CD holder will often give you one and one half percent over the rate the CD is earning. that's how I buy my cars so my net interest cost is only 1.5%

My dealer does a lot if their financing through the same credit union I belong to, so it was real easy for me. They do offer HD loans, but almost never anywhere near as good as a credit union loan....got mine at 6% last October.
