Got an 08 SG. First several hundred miles rode with no problem. Over the last couple of hundred, it's seemed to have developed some sort of wobble problem. Kind of hard to describe, but it's almost like it has a low, almost flat tire. It's not, I've checked the tires. But the rear end feels like it's wobbling back and forth and seems to be getting worse. Any suggestions what it could be? I'm figuring it's just the crappy Dunflops, but they've only got 800 miles on them.
check your shocks too. A friend of mine has a shock go bad and I rode the bike and it felt almost like there was a gyro on the wheel. Strangest feeling.... hope that helps
I would just take it back to the dealer and have everything checked over. Sounds like it wouldn't be good to continue to ride it. I know it sounds like the obvious thing to do but it could be several things causing it. Sorry but that's just me.
Check to be sure the bead fully seated. Also, jack up the rear an' slowly rotate the tire with yer hand on the tread - sounds like ya have tread separating....
remember,, all flh's have the slight wobble, in turns, at speed
Huh?? Mine has no wobble---yet.
You got any more details/facts to support your post Rick?
well other than the fact that 5 diff. company's have came up with the ,,,
"Ultra Wobble Cure",,,, and my own experience of hittin sweeping turns at say 40-60 MPH..
uhhh,, no sir,,, no facts,,,, just truths!!!
I know about the wobble in turns. That's not it. This is running a straight line at speeds of 50 and up. I'm going to take it in this week and have them check it out. It's very unnerving to say the least. It's not exactly consistant either and it's not because of "tracking grooves" in the road, but that does make it worse.
