Default Need help fast

Hello all, I am trying to do the radio shack siren mod. I have the directions from the DIY although the wire colors do not match up. I have the right bag and side cover off and there are two plugs. One is a 4 pin and the other has a plug cover on it. The wire colors on the DIY don't match. I need to know what wires from the siren go to what plug and what wires. I have an 07 Ultra.

Thanks so much.

This is from memory as my bike is not at home as it is stored in a buddys shop for the winter, but I remember that when I did the mod I couldn't find the right plug at first. I had it apart and found a plug, but it wasn't the correct one. A little more searching and I found the right one and the wire colors matched up.

Haven't yet, thanks for the reply. If I had a service manual it would help. Oh well.

Ride safe.

Warden, you not following the instructions fully. Once you have the right side cover off you need to removed the electronic control module (a black looking metal box with fins that has the main big wiring plug in it). Remove the 2 hex head screws and they will be hard to back them out and then under the module is a black plastic cover held on with two nuts. Remove those 2 nuts. Youtake offthe plasticcover and the wire harness you need in attached to it with a clip on the back side. It's not really a harness as it is a plug. You can open the dust cover and simply insert the wiresfrom the siren and firmly push them in to the holes in the plug with the corresponding color. Put the dust cover back on and test you connections by turning on the key without having the key fob present. If all is good you will hear it arm and then lookout for the noise.

If all is good zip tie the wires from the siren to the wires on the plug to secure even more and the reassemble.

Thank you Drifter, I finally found it and all is good. Wow, pretty loud for a little siren. Thanks for taking the time to explain.

Ride safe
