Well, after having gone aftermarket for my 02 RK Classic on the seat for a more comfy ride, my search was on for a softer long ride cusion for the new 08 Ultra and after reading all the praises for Mean City, I called Allen, sent the seat and got it back in less than a month although she is under cover for the winter. I am so jealous of you guys down south.
I lifted the cover, disconnected the tender and mounted the seat to see how she felt and I tell you that I can't wait to treat my butt to a long haul with no numbness in the spring.
Mean City, Allen, thanks for a great professional refit of my stock seat.
Glad to hear a positive,I was wondering if you could tell me what they did, and how to get ahold of them? Recently had back surgery and sounds like they might be able to help with sg seat. Thanks, T
You can make a appointment and all you have to do is have the seat there 1 day before he starts on it. My turn around time was 5 days-off the bike to back on the bike. Allen does great work. I went on a 2,000 mile ride and had no issues at all, memory foam, sides cut, lowered the seat 2 inches, and had it moved forward 1.5 inches. Yes I am a short guy. My feet are on the ground now and the seat is more comfortable than my corbin dual touring seat.
Allen worked on my Badlander a couple of months ago. I know he's gonna kill me for saying this but he did it while I waited. It was the best money I have spent for a seat or seat modification in a long time. His service was great. He knew exactly how I needed to have my seat modified to best suit me. When I questioned him as to how he knew how much to take off or add for that matter he looked at me and said with confidence "This is what I do". He made me a believer and I would recommend his work to anyone.
