Default Progressive Lowering?

I think, one day I'll change out to Progressive fork springs. I'm not thrilled with the performace of the stockers. Most that I see advertised are for "Progressive Lowering Springs". I'm not particuarly interested in lowering my bike. I like the stock height. I'm a little confused about what to get. I may wind up taking it to somebody.Even after reading the posts about changing forkoil or sliders, I'm still not confident Ican take on the job ('05EG Std.). I try things but they usually don't work out as well as I'd like. I'm just not a real good wrench.
