my bike just came in, 08 ultra with ABS, all the research I did on ABS, I am convinced that they are worth every penny, if it keeps you up only one time it will pay for itself, medical bills, damaged bike parts. I'll let you know when I pick it up. Soon I hope. I'vetalked to a lot of old stubborn Harley owners and they talk bad about ABS, no of them ever had ABS though. Kinda funny, huh.

If you never ever ride in the rain, never have someone you care about on the pillion, don't care about yourself, Never ever have to make a panic stop, Nah probably not worth it. On the other hand........ Had em on MY 04 Wing and would not be with out them. You have a little more control on the Harley (not linked brakes) but I still maintain they are a life and chrome saver.

I'm no expert but I took the Advanced Rider course on my old bike and it didn't have them. I watched in awe as the guys on the BMW's held the bikes up with ease... ABS. When I bought my RKC it was a must have. I hope I never have to use them.

I have it on my 08 Ultra. Have found out how functional this option is after three occasions where the ABS kicked in. On one occasion where I was stopping at an intersection, and was not going that fast, the road was slick with a water strip that had an oil mix and the ABS kicked in; it stopped me from sliding into a major 55mph intersection. Definetely a must have.
