I turned 96 years old yesterday and still riding. I've been riding baggers for over 40 years now and I don't hink anyone should ride a dresser or a bagger til they're at least 50 years old.
I swore when I was up and coming I would never own a "garbage barge". No offense. When I was younger I dreamedof the chopper with all the stuff I considered cool...... Jammer rigid frame. Pan motor. Apes. Foot clutch stick shift. Solo seat with luggage rack on rear hinged duo glide fender. Open 3 inch belt. No front brake,no front fender. Nothing but throttle on the handlebars. I built one and had it for 25+ years and rode hell out of it. Then I got old. Those pot holes and no suspension were starting to kill me. Antiquated technology started getting on my nerves and I didn't want to to worry about reliability. Plus I wanted to be able to accomadate myself and my wife aswe are now older and not as able to endure as many of the inconvieniences we once were.
Enter the bagger! Wow is all I can say. I thought I would miss the old chopper but better to have someone own it who'll continue to ride it and keep on keeping on. It was sold to a friend at a very great friend price.
