Bought my SG at 44. Never really thought of myself as a bagger guy until an injury prevented me from riding my 08 CVO Dyna comfortably. My EG at work seemed very comfortable, so if comfortable enough for 8, 10 or 12 hours a day, why not a bagger for personal use.
I think you're gonna find that as ppl get older, make more money, and have owned a few bikes, they are more likely to buy more expensive bikes with more stuff on them...
I'm 46 and I ride a 13 ultra classic. My wide glide just was too hard on the *** on ling trips. It sure isn't a money thing.. If you want something, you find a way to get it.
29 here. while i still like other styles, baggers are awesome. plan to add another bike to the stable soon to have a second project to wrench on. otherwise, road king FTW!
