I'm curious if HD changed the speakers in the 2008 Touring bikes from what they used before. I installed Hogtune speakers in my bike, yesterday, and after installing just one of them I played the radio and listened to several FM radio stations, an MP3 CD in the radio, and a few MP3s stored in my Zumo 450 GPS. It was very difficult to tell any difference in the audio quality between the OEM speakers and the Hogtune speakers. I finished the install and was happy with the results but I was happy with the original sound. The magnets on the Hogtune speakers are larger than the OEM speakers (of course, that has little to do with sound quality) and they both had similar tweeters. Anyone with an 2008 bike notice this?
installed the JBL 527 yesterday and it made a huge differance, ordered them through amazon.com and they offer several sellers for the same product. Placed order sunday morning and they were actually on my doorstep tuesday evening,, hell I can't mail a freaking letter that quick. But yes the speakers sound great and couldn't ask for faster service. total cost with shipping 58 bucks

Larry, make sure your automatic voice control is turned up. After installing mine, I had to adjust the AVC. Check your manual. Hope this helps....Bob

I put the Infinity Kappas 5.27i in my fairing and the Hogtunes in the rear pods. The Kappas have MORE bass than the Hogtunes but they would not fit in the rears thus the mismatch. The Hogtunes do sound better than the stockers for the rear.
