mine did that and it turned out to be the clutch lever rubbing against the housing. a shot of dry lube fixed it.

My clutch lever also chirped,lubed it and it stopped.

Are you running a stock air cleaner? Is it chirping when you accel? There is a rubber hose that comes out of the back of the air cleaner on a stock set up, on others they plug the opening where the hose comes through.Check your hose or plug make sure its not leaking.It's a simple fix if that's it but will drive you nuts trying to find the noise...

I had a similar problem - it was the belt tension. I would start there first, before looking st the other areas listed.

hrhawg is correct. A loose belt will trap air in between the splines and belt while upshifting causing the air to compress after shift and "chirp" as the air is forced out. Belt tension is probably loose. Get worse when wet? Definite sign.

Either belt tension or dry clutch lever would be my guess.

I am new to the bagger thing, but mine chirps too. I think it coming from the muffler mounts. Its the cheapist fix of all.
