That is great Cwilks. I really like that one.

Thinking about it, I dont have to buy squat. I just have to get off my @ss and go out and build it. (someday when it is above40 degrees outside)

Here is the one I purchased back in December. I have a leather tour pack. This rack is heavy gauge steel with a black powdercoat finish.

http://www.haulenass.com/detachable_...ies_wall_mount

I think they had it on sale for the holidays, but $159.00 is cheap insurance for $800 tour pack with hardware. I do not have any pictures, but it was easy to mount to the studs in the garage.
Snafu,

does this rack allow for the storage of a detachable windshield also? I have RKC, and would like someplace to store the windshield also. Haulenass is close to me, I just e-mailed them to see about local pick-up. With the cost of shipping, and state tax, the cost is getting up there.

Not trying to steel the thread, just wanting more info,

thanks

farmer

Here ya go....I used 3/8 threaded rod......nuts/washers......and 3/8 (inside diameter) plastic tubing......nailed the 2x4's to the wall and drilled the holes thru the 2 by's....measure the distance between the mount slots on the detachable stuff and make it that wide....make sure you drill as far away from the wall (on the 2 by or use 2 together to space it from the wall)

I have three of them on the garage wall for 2 tour packs and a detachable backrest. Made them with wood scrapes and about 5 dollars of hardware from Lowes.
