At 6'4", 240, I'm a pretty big guy so I think I create a bit more aerodrag than some riders. My top speed was about 101 and that was on a slight downhill. Mind you, there was still some throttle, but it just didn't seem to want to pick up any more speed. That's made me wonder if moving to 103, 113 or 124 would help me much on the top end.
I love these speed questions.
Wait for the one who's been 135, GPS verified!! (on his ultra, two up)
What, you dont think its possible? Last time i rode IdaSpuds bike getting on the highway (up hill onramp)I was doing 115 when I shifted into 5th, run up on traffic had to shut down, but thatleft 2 gears to run out.
i hit 100 in fourth getting on the freeway running it thru the gears. when i realized what i was doing i almost sh8t in my pants. those "haul ***" days are over for me. 80 on the highway is more than enuff. just want the extra in case its needed...ride safe. btw, 75-80 this weekend in s texas...lets ride!!!!
well, with my stage 1 TC88 I've gotten to about 105...may have a bit more but that windshield holds it back to a snail crawl from there....but that's OK..I only cruise at about 75 so there is plenty left to pass with....my bike may beacomparative slug, but it's agood lookin, good soundin slug
What is yo top speed on yer bagger? 115 on mine the other day. Fukit. Should I buy a crotch rocket? I LOVE da speed.
If you LOVE da speed and you want a crotch rocket, be sure to invest in a funeral package and a burial plot. That is...unless you're planning to run your speed on the track where it belongs. Guess that sums up that question in a whole new light. lol

RE: Fast on a bagger?
Mine seems most comfortable at around 85-90mph. I've had it up to ablut 105 or so and hard as I try, I can't think of anyplace I need to get to faster than that!
I got up to 120 on my old Vulcan 1500. After that the allure of going fast faded.
If I wanted to go fast, yeh...I'd buy a ricer. In fact the only reason I haven't added a Hyabusa to the stable is that I know it would only serve to kill me sooner.
Call me old if ya want (only 43), but I just don't need to go that fast. If I do, I'll take a plane ride.
My Glide has only been up to 95'ish once or twice, and that was just to get past a grouping of cars on the hiway that made me nervous. After that I slowed back down to my normal cruising speed of 80'ish.
