ok I have an 08 and I think I read on here that the plug for the alarm is on the left side for 08 is this right???
I took the cover off and there is a plug there but the colors don't jive with the instructions here for the siren
hookup anybody done an 08 yet?????
Yep, It's on the left side. It plugged into a blank plastic holder. It should only have 3 wires in it. Don't use the 4 wire connector next to it that one goes to the ECU for connecting the SERT.
I bought the #273-079 for my '03 but the arm/disarm "beep" was real weak - went back an bought the #273-070 (2 tone w/warble) $12.00. Now it make some noise.........[sm=happy046.gif]
I just installed mine yesterday. Your correct the low tone on the 079 for the "set" beep. I am not minding that, personallyas it is not obnoxious to me and will not be to others each time I step away from the bike. But when you trip the alarm all hell breaks loose! That said I am wondering if I can find a correct connector to mate it up. For now,I have my wires jammed into the identifiedsockets and slid the plug back into the blank carefully with the wires feeding into the appropriate contact points. But longterm, I would rather find the other side of the connector for it to mate up. You would think you could find that connector end, at aNapa Autoparts storeorthe likeas it looks like a Automotive style plug. The next quest for me in a very cheap upgrade, even with a price of a connector to solder the beeper wiresto, and would make it less of a backyard upgrade with more reliable longtermcontacts.
Anyone yet identify theneededplug style/name/or part number?

I tought the same when I put mine in, the arm/disarm was very weak. So I left the fog in the house and set the alarm off. VERY ear periceing. I couldn't get to the fob quick enough.
