Adhesive for Inner Fairing Trim Strips??

What is recommended as a good adhesive when replacing the 3 rubber trim strips on the inner fairing? (Road Glide)The stock adhesive looks like some sort of rubber cement but don't know for sure?

I used a clear silicone adhesive for my SG, you can find it at any automotive or hardware store.

I used contact cement on my Road Glide, worked great. Any auto store carries it.

Which three strips are you talking about? Mine only had two, one for each side that went around the edging.After I painted the Inner FairingI bought new rubber trim for a few bucks and it already had a clear adhesive in it.
