What are you using for the plastic trim between outer and inner fairings? I have seen lots of aftermarket trim, with adhesive. Just wondering, it doesn't show in the Harley microfiche.
On the roadglide.org forum, several have used a fairing and windshield trim from outfit called xcycletrim. I bought their kit that does both for $35. Haven't put it on yet - waiting on amp to arrive to open the fairing. Good reviews on it from what I could tell. Just looking at it - seems better quality that the factory one.

I bought the same stuff. I haven't put it on either
I have had the xtrim on for 3 weeks now and love it. No adhesives. Flat black rubber trim that fits snuggly and looks sharp. After 3 years the stock stuff kept peeling up and I hated the glue that would work its way out.

Nice to know, thanks for the report.
For $35, I'll give it a shot............I'am pissed about the glue too
Terry Auto Supply - terry.net will sell you enough door edge molding to do several bikes for way less than $35. That is what I use for replacement and on the bottom edge of my windshield. You can also buy it in smaller quantities at most auto parts stores.

Reports at the shark site is Pep Boys carries the stuff in bulk, but I don't have one anywhere near me and the auto places I do have close buy did not have anything close to what I was looking for. Once I got the xtrim it does look like something you could apply to the edge of car doors to protect them. I ordered it because I had the bike apart already for a new amp and I couldn't take the time to look around for the right stuff. Those of you with time or have a Pep Boys near by could save some coin.
