Default 08 grips

Any advise for aftermarket grips for a 2008 streetglide? Are they easy to change (throttle mechanism)? Thanks.

I just changed mine on my 08 RG and it's very easy. Just loosen the switch housings and gently pull the old grip off and slide the new one in. Took me about ten minutes.

Just did mine on Friday, needed a little advice from the forum, but all in all was pretty easy:

I got the Kuryakyn ISO Grips. Be sure to order the ones for the 08 with ETC (part number 6227). Only real problem was understanding a bright orange WARNING sticker on the packageing:

"WARNING - Please insure that you keep the glue from the throttle open"[sm=WTFsgign.gif]

(yes I typed that right)

Simple. I did mine on Friday. Seperate the switch housing and gently pull the old grip off. Slide the new one on and make sure the teeth are enggaged. Slide it under the housing and tighten back up. Left side is as it always was.

Second vote for Kury ISO. I have already switched mine out once. The whole process took about 10 minutes. Just make sure the gears or teeth as I call them are positioned correctly on the throttle side.
