Simple. I did mine on Friday. Seperate the switch housing and gently pull the old grip off. Slide the new one on and make sure the teeth are enggaged. Slide it under the housing and tighten back up. Left side is as it always was.
****, ya'll know it's simple if Steve did it......Rick.[:'(][:@]
LOL......that RON is a funny guy!
I guess I'm never gonna live a little typo down now. [:@] This is gonna be as bad as the damn dinosaur. [&:]
Wow is it that simple? With my 07 Fat boy they said it was a pain to get the rubber ones all cut off. The dealer only charged me $30 to do them. Oh well.
I just picked my SG up yesterday and have the ISO grips. I noticed they didn't glue on the left grip. You are supposed to glue it on aren't you? I can move it around pretty easy.
I went with the kury iso grips on my 08UC before they came out with 08 grips so i don't see any reason you cannot use any grip you want. I just cut the rubber off the sleeve on the throttle side and used metric grip. More props to dawg for that early upgrade.

Remember...we're talking 08s and fly by wire throttles!
If thats for me do you see what kind of bike i have. 08UC. You just cut the rubber off the sleeve and reuse sleeve with TBW mech still inside.
Agreed. As long as the inside diameter provides enough friction to turn the gear on the end of the drive-by-wire sending unit (taken care of if you're using the OEM sleeve), then you should be able to use any grip you want.

Yes the left grip should be glued on and not slipping. Some of the HD grips are glueless on the left side but not the ISO's. Pull it off and add some glue and let it set up for a while.
