My observations have been that many people who buy Street Glides are looking to be "cool" or getting what all the cool kids have. Others just like the styling, which is pretty nice.
Street Glide - very nice, but why spend $18,500 when you can get a very similar bike Electra Glide Standard for $15,300 $3200 less then the street glide change out the seat, lower an inch, change out the windshield, add whatever radio CD player you want and - walla Street Glide... should be able to do all that aftermarket for less than a grand...?
This topic was started in 2006 when the Electra Glide Standard was still in production. Unless we're talking used bikes, further discussion is futile. But y'all carry on as you were.
