Painter removed all the rubber from my fairing so I had to order replacement trim. The best I can remember, there were only 2 pieces. One for each side on the edge. There's not one across the top of the inner that rest against the windshield is there?
There is a 3-hole piece of sticky sided rubber adhesive that runs across the top of the batwing on the inside of the fairing that rests against the windshield (Part # 58247-96 CUSHION TAPE) and then the TRIM STRIP Part#62786-96 that runs along the skirt at the bottom of the fairing.
Rev: Are you referring to the inner or outer fairing???
The inner fairing uses two narrow "gaskets" that are easily visible where the outer and inner fairing meet. I replaced them when my inner fairing was painted; I'll see if I still have the part number.
Did your painter remove and save the grommets for the cable and throttle cables?
On my inner fairing, I got the two cable grommets and the thin rubber trim that goes on the right and left sides.
On the outer fairing, I have two little rubber tabs on the very bottom.
Nothing on the windshield. I think this is the only trim I'm missing, and I sure don't remember seeing it when I took it apart. (Part # 58247-96 CUSHION TAPE)

My '04 EG has three rubber pieces along the bottom of the outer fairing: one under the headlamp, and two smaller ones on either side of it--I replaced them when the outer fairing was painted.
