That's a nice shop. My buddy has one about a mile from me and I have full use of it when I need to use his full lift, tools, pneumatics etc. The one thing he wishes it had is a built in drain in the floor so he can wash his bikes in the winter!

I live on a 1/2 arce lot in the county. The rules state the interior sq. ft. of the shop but does not address the heigth of the shop. The rules do state that any out building can't be taller then your house. My house is right at 22', the shop is 21'6", so I'm right in there. I also went and talked to my neighbors before I started to build. I think a good reason I'm able to do this is because our neighborhood is so new that the HOA isn't really developed. I did submit all my paper work with sizes and such, got a builders permit, and got the approval. I hope someone doesn't throw a fit though.... Behind the shop is a pasture that is land locked (can't sub-devide) I think this is another reason why I'm able to build. I do have to make it match my house 100 % though.... That added a lot of $$$$$$ just for that.....
