Default V&H true duals

i have a 04 flhtci with s.e. air cleaner,V&H ovals and power commander usb3.would installing v&h true duals make a noticeable differance in performance? thanks,greg

Some say you will lose Hp/Tq down low and others claim to have gained. So with that being said.. I don't know

I had stock headers and SE slip ons on my RKC but the QUALITY of sound was not very good. As a matter if fact it was very disappointing. I installed the V&H true duals and the improvement was dramatic. Iwasn't looking for loud. And it isn't. just wanted a throatier sound and the duals did that. I'm not a very aggressive rider so I can't comment on the performance side except to say it certainly did not hurt it any.

With a good dyno tune you won't lose anything and the sound quality and look will make you very happy. Don't forget about the improvement with the lack of blistering heat on your right leg from losing your crossover. Your passenger will love you for that.

Hell not having all your sound come from 1 side of the bike when you have duals is what made my decision for me

I just put a set of V&H true duals and SE air cleaner on my 1996 Ultra. Runs, looks and SOUNDS much better. This is with a DFO but without a dyno tune.

The biggest gain in my mind was the ability to tune each cylinder individually on the dyno. I am running drag pipes on mine and my hp/tq numbers are right in line with guys running baffled mufflers. The dyno guy was amazed that from the baffled mufflers I started with, then changed to the drag pipes....I actually flattened out my power curve. The baffled mufflers peaked way down low...then fell off as rpm increased. The drag pipes actually peaked a bit higher in rpm but gave a much flatter curve. It's a mod you will never regret.

I didn't notice any seat of the pants differance but I really like the sound coming equally from both sides.
No more right side pipes blueing. And another positive is opening up the area behind the rear cylinder. Go ahead you won't be dissapointed.
