RE: So Your Rear Tire Is Flat
In the 5 years I had my last ride I only managed to wear out 1 rear tire. All the rest had a plug within two weeks. The last one caught a nail the day after I installed the new tire. I pulled into a station, bought a beer, plugged it, aired up & rode home. A plug kit is a must, along with a can of fix a flat just to get it inflated until you get to a station.
I couldn't answer the question. If I were within 50 or so miles of home, I'd just call my shop and have em bring the trailer. If I was further, I might call AAA and I might just plug it, air it and ride it depending on my agenda for that day. I usually carry beer in a cooler on the bikebut ifby chanceI didn't have any, that would definately be a priority.
Tow, might as well use what I paid for (included in insurance also roadside assistnce from H-D)
Yep, HD is known for their quick road side assistance. Most everyone that I have ever talked to reported 2+ hours wait. Then, when they get there, you may have to deal with someone not treating you bike with the utmost care when loading, strapping, and unloading. No thanks. I will do my best to avoid it.
