My son has an adjustable rider backrest for his '04 Road King Classic, but never uses it. It also has studs on pad and I'm looking for a smooth style. Two questions: will it fit my '07 and can I get a different pad from H-D that is smooth and matches my Sundowner seat? Hate to spend the $300 for new one if I don't have to, so wife won't kill me for all I spend on that bike as it is.

Thanks eglidetrike1. I ended up calling my local dealer and he said I could buy a pad without studs but they sell for $150! Another person on here offered me a great price of $150 for his adjustable rider back rest that was used only once, but his was the smooth vinyl style (part# 52476-01B) and I'm looking for the smooth FLTR style (part# 52474-01B) in order to match the passenger backrest that my wife is using currently. Allen at Mean City Cycles has my Sundowner seat and is working his magic with gel pad, memory foam and heaters (can't wait to get it back and try it out)!!
