so im lookin to change my exhaust set up to a 2into1 type. ive gots&s 510g and a race tuner and v&h duals now but want either thunderheaders or fat cats, which is goning to give me the best bang for the buck do fat cats come with haet sheilds? thanks fellas
Yes ! they are a great looking pipe.I really like the Fat Cat best but havent purchased mine yet.
They both are great pipes so its all a matter of opinion. I think the Fat Cat has the best sound.
went from true duals to Fatcat....best mod yet. Look great (yes they have heat shields), great torque and sound terrific! Can't go wrong with these imo.
I've had both the T-header and now the Fatcat...........and I can tell you the Fatcat is the all around better exhaust.
The T-header you have to buy the heatshields seperately, the quality is low, they blue very quickly, they are known for a low-end torque dip, but they do sound good.
The Fatcat comes with full coverage heatshields, quality is top-notch, excellent power and performance, and the sound is very racey and sounds great.
I have the Fat Cats and LOVE the sound and performance. I do however like the looks of the duals so i am in the process of installing the Fat cat ghost pipe. I'll post pictures when it's done. Oh yeah, I am running an 1550 SC heads, flatops with 10.5:1 compression, S&S .510 gear drive cams and HD race tuner and it runs like a scalded rat!
I can only comment on the thunderheaders , I have no experience with the fat cats.I would buy the thunderheaders again in a second. The sound is great and I can really feel the bike pull in 2nd and 3rd like never before. Oh ya did i say the sound is awesome.
