I have an'04 road king police model.... my brother has an 05 road king classic. we measured them side by side and my bike is 2' taller ??? would like to drop it at least to the height of his .... so any ideas? i also have an 01 electra glide standard and the road king police is higher than it as well, what gives? any help would be appreciated. the air shocks have about 6-7/lbs pressure which should be fine.
I installed at set on my RG last nigh. I got them from Bikersdelight on e-bay for $65 which included shipping. I ordered them on Friday and got em in the mail on Monday. Here is a link to the install wrightup I did with pictures.
I wouldn't lower it more than 1-1/4" or so. You have wiring, etc., that runs under the fender. Bottoming out can give you some problems. Also considr if you ride 2 up alot. I dropped mine 1-1/4" about two years ago. No problems here. Good luck.
