I live about 6 hours to the north of you in Temiskaming Shores. We got maybe and inch this weekend. cold here though. I'm going out in the groomer to do the snowmobile trails tonight. I'm getting way sick of winter to.
I'm also wondering if glodal warming isn't going to take some of the sting out of winter up here in the next few years. sure hope so.

We are almost brothers!
Been a long winter, but fairly easy compared to Southern Ontario.
You might when California breaks off into an island. Maybe you guys can become your own country.
Hey, not a bad idea.... but then folks wouldn't be able to drive there for vacation.
uh, but until then, I'll take Cali over the friggin mounds of dirty ice and snow, shoveling driveways, freeways with potholes big enough to swallow a VW.... yeah, lived in Cleveland and upstate NY.... pretty during the fall, otherwise, its Cali for me all the way.

Yep, maybe we'll ride together sometime. You must have taken a day trip around Temiskaming, if not it's a great ride.
Our snowfall in Temiskaming Shores is generally even less than yours or Kirkland Lakes'. Something to do with a hieght of land back towards Elliot Lake apparently.
We'll be riding soon hopefully. What are you ridin' Sean?
Went to the Kings Inn at Kingsvillse, TX yesterday. They have great shrimp. The groupconsisted of 4 bikes who all rode from McAllen, and the trip was about 125 miles each way.

I bought a set of HD heat shields (upper leg protection) when it hit 92 on thursday. It cooled into the 70's since, so I can't judge their effectiveness yet.
Lived in Buffalo first 1/2 of my life so I hear ya. Just got back from a ride here in the mountains of SE Virginia. Cold (38) but sunny and no frickin' snow!
Hey Paul...go west young man, haven't you been told? Southern Alberta's roads are clear and the riding is starting to really heat up. Lots of bikes out all weekend. Been 10 degreesand sunny. Although I hear Edmonton is still like winter. Now I know we are not out of the woods yet, but I couldn't wait any longer and brought the bike out last week. Hangin there, it has to melt and go away...right?
