Congrats. I as well purchased a Black08 Ultra on Saturday. I originally wanted a Classic but the dealer wanted to move a unit so I got some free service for the pipe upgrade to make the deal work. They asked me to bring it back after 1000 miles for the pipes so I was out in 35 degrees today logging some miles. I noticed as well that the idle was up and down but I assume that once the race tune and pipes are done performance will be better. Now that I have logged 60 miles I already trashed the stock antennas and put on short ones andstarted a list of items to purchase.
Congrats Bro,
I just took delivery of my 2008 crimson red/cherry red ultra with abs and security. I love it. I rode it home with the temp in the low 50s. I just had too. I just put on lower windshield, backrest and some chrome goodies. I can't wait for warm weather.
Congrats on your new bike. Did you order it or buy it off the floor? Just curious on the waite times for ordering from factory.
Jeff
Ithad beenpre-orderedfor dealer stock when I went in looking so they put my name on it. I only waited 3 weeks since it wasn't special ordered. I don't know how long of a wait it would be from square one.
Black is beautiful,I didn't ride today, but I read some of the manual and stared at the black and chrome! Almost afraid to ride it, don't want toget it dirty or scratch it, it's so beautiful. I'll get over that once the weather settles down!!
Salt, gravel, ice, snow melt, huge potholes, it has been a hell of a winter.
Haven't been able to find the headset anybody know where they put it? I will call the dealer tomorrow and ask. I need to buy another sometime before summer.
