Picked up my new vivid black 08 Ultra saturday! Dealer installed 103 with cam and SE performance mufflers, download for now sert and dyno after breakin.Chrome front end and hand controlls withdetachable tourpak kit installed.Also got the abs and security.
Dillon brothers Harley in Omaha bent me over oops!, I mean bent over backwards with a package deal for all the things I never got around to doing to my 06. They really stepped up on the deal I hope they will be as good with any warrenty issues. I will continue to do most of my own maintence I can scratch up stuff as good as any professional sometimes better.
Trailered the 06 for the trade in saturday morning, 9 degrees and sunny. By the time we got done at the dealer it was 36 degrees, and as I pulled the new bike out to the parking lot to load up, I pulled up by the trailer and told the salesman and my buddy screw it, I'm riding it at least part way. Rode it about 20 miles all I had was gloves, jeansand my leather jacket.Rides smooth andseems much quicker and torquey, butthe idle is erratic 1000 to 2200 rpm, I found on this forum others with the same issues and willhave to see what thats all about.
With thewet melting snow and my frozen knees I finally gave in and loaded it up for the 60 last miles.I enjoyed the hell out of the 20 miles anyway. Crazy long winter cold and wet today, 50s tomorrow and tuesday but have to work, next weekend looks crappy too. I will get pictures out as soon as the weather allows.
Congrats... I just got a pearl and black with ABS heard it was the way to go....hope so also got rhine s and a airfilter with race tuner after 600 miles.. hope I got a good a deal as you. : }
